Capricorn Fonderia specializes in the supply of aluminium casting prototypes in Modena and in the province. Aluminium casting prototypes
One of the most widely used processes of aluminium casting prototypes worked in the Modena area is sand casting, highly automated and capable of obtaining pieces of excellent finish and quality. This process represents today’s evolution of the ancient lost wax process. We use disposable models in compacted sand, which are subsequently immersed in special tanks containing thermosetting resins. The two materials together create a resistant external coating by polymerization. When the aluminum casting is poured into the form, the resin evaporates and leaves only the piece to harden. When the piece has cooled, just clean it of the residues of the casting to be able to use it.
